Why do we Focus on One + One + One?

The Greater Gift Initiative (GGI) gifts one vaccine to one child every time one clinical trial volunteer makes the important decision to volunteer for a clinical trial. GGI currently supports the Pentavalent Vaccine Campaign and by 2020, Pentavalent will have helped avert more than 5 million deaths.

One Vaccine – Vaccines are the end result of successful clinical trials. An estimated 5 to 6 million future deaths can be prevented between 2016-2020 with sufficient funding. Vaccines have done more than any other class of drugs to improve global health*. (*Source: The GAVI Alliance).

One Child – Every year almost 2 million children die of vaccine preventable diseases. By honoring the approximately 2 million volunteers who participate in clinical trials every year, we help make sure that no child is denied life-saving vaccines.

One Volunteer – Volunteers are crucial to the clinical trial process. Without willing participants, advancements in new drug development would stagnate. Many clinical trial volunteers participate to advance medicine with the ultimate goal of advancing global health and quality of life.
